Seeding School Gardens 2027 Symposium: Learning in Community

Saturday, January 23rd, 2027 | 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.

In-Person at the offices of Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District

Who better to learn from about school garden successes than the teachers themselves! This year’s programming will showcase the skills and knowledge of some of the county’s most passionate school garden educators. Across subjects, grades, skill-levels, and needs, teachers lead the way in knowing what works and what doesn’t in using the school garden as an entry point for effective and meaningful education for today’s students.

Who should register to attend? From Washington County, we are excited to welcome:

  • K-12th grade classroom educators (including homeschool)
  • School garden educators and coordinators
  • Teachers of before/after care programs and clubs
  • Involved parent/guardian volunteers
  • Limited adjacent community members and organizations*.

Event registration is exclusive to Washington County K-12th grade classroom educators (including homeschool), school garden educators and coordinators, teachers of before/after care programs and clubs, involved parent/guardian volunteers, and limited adjacent community members and organizations*.
