News Bites are two-sided activity sheets that reinforce the information learned during our virtual farm field trips! On the front side, you can find more information about the farm we visited as well as a summary of the field trip. At 160 acres, Eagles Nest Reserve uses conservation practices to grow their wine grapes, which are naturally processed into wine. Their property is a diverse and beautiful landscape of vineyards, wetlands, fields of grazing alpacas and protected forest sanctuaries. Harrold’s Dairy is a family-owned dairy farm in Creswell! The farm was founded in 1946 by Foster and Stella Harrold. Now, their Great-Granddaughter, Bobbi, is the fourth-generation head farmer! At Harrold’s, you can see three to four generations working side-by-side nearly every day.

Peterkort Roses is a family-owned cut flower growing farm that’s been around Washington County since 1923. They grow flowers, such as roses and lilies, for weddings, florists, and other special events!

TMK Creamery is a family-owned dairy farm in Canby, Oregon that produces their own award-winning cheese and ice cream. They milk about 20 head of cattle and have the world’s only single cow cheese!

Sun Gold Farm is a family-owned farm in Forest Grove, Oregon. The farmers care very much for the land, and the farm has been in the family for a long time. Sun Gold Farm sells goods to people at the farmers market and at their farm!
