\Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom is excited to partner with OSU’s SMILE Program to introduce the Harvest of the Month (H.O.M.)! Oregon 4th–12th grade educators are invited to explore Oregon agriculture through standards-aligned, hands-on learning, taste tests, and opportunities to connect with the farmers, ranchers, fishermen, and producers who grow and raise food in Oregon.
Each month, educators receive classroom-ready materials centered around a featured Oregon commodity, helping students make meaningful connections between agriculture, science, literacy, nutrition, and Oregon’s natural resources. These resources are delivered each month in a CSA-style Harvest of the Month package, directly to educators!
The H.O.M. Program is currently open to a limited group of educators selected in August 2026. Even if you aren’t part of this year’s cohort, you can still explore and use the resources! Browse the monthly sections below to discover each featured commodity, along with downloadable PDFs, lesson plans, activities, recipes, and additional resources to bring Harvest of the Month into your classroom.
