Journey through the 6 F’s of Oregon Agriculture to discover the importance of agriculture, a key provider in our everyday life! Students are introduced to the definition of agriculture through the “6 F’s of Agriculture” farming, food, fiber, forestry, fishing and flowers.

This lesson will take students on a journey to discover the importance of agriculture through six activities and a booklet to guide their journey. Upon completion of each activity, the teacher will provide students with a sticker to add to their booklet. These activities are in a shortened form in the lesson to allow for a quicker journey but can each be extended into a 1-hour lessons using the full lessons found on our website, see lesson plan pdf for more information. Activities included in this booklet include creating a Living Necklace, Wool Spinning, a Sunflower Life Cycle and more.
